“We are all experts in our own lives, and sometimes we need support in reconnecting with that inner knowledge.”

Kwey, Hello, Bonjour, Nǐ hǎo ,
Namaste and Aaniin
My name is Veronica Miller (Niya Iskwew Michif), and I am Red River Métis and Irish. I am a Registered Social Worker and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), and registered with Ontario Association of Social Worker (OASW). I hold an Honours Bachelor's in Indigenous Social Work from Laurentian University and a Master of Social Work in the Indigenous Field of Study from Wilfrid Laurier University.
I spent part of my childhood and adulthood in the Ottawa Valley and have lived experience and understanding of what military life is like, my father served and my spouse and I worked on base for several years.
With eight years of experience assisting Indigenous youth and families, as well as individuals from various backgrounds, in navigating systems such as child welfare and therapy, I extend a warm invitation to people of all backgrounds to join my space. I am committed to fostering understanding and collaboration within diverse communities, recognizing that these efforts are crucial for building a comprehensive support system for all. Together, we can create an inclusive environment that benefits everyone involved.
Reaching out for support can feel both courageous and overwhelming. Many people come to therapy not because something is "wrong" but because they are carrying a lot of stress, grief, trauma, or relationship challenges and need a space to slow down and make sense of what they are holding.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where you can show up as you are. In our work together, I walk alongside you as you navigate anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma and relationship concerns.
My approach is gentle and relational, paced in a way that feels manageable. This may look like slowing things down, noticing what is happening to your body, and gently exploring experiences that may have been difficult to face alone.
My practice is holistic and relationship-focused, with attention to emotional, mental, physical and spiritual aspects of well-being. I braid Indigenous ways of knowing and being with evidence-based approaches, offering care that honours both tradition and lived experience.
If you're looking for a space that feels grounded, respectful, and supportive of your journey, you don't have to navigate it alone.
